      Much to my great surprise, IRTA has announced that retired educators in Indiana will receive a "13th check" in 2024. Usually this extra payment happens with the September pension payment. IRTA has also indicated that SB 275 passed. This bill provides the future structure for a more permanent approach to funding the "13th check" and/or a COLA .
